I've been a subscriber to Verizon FiOS ever since it came to our town back in May of 2007.

Verizon installed a Tellabs 611 in the basement as well as the power unit and backup battery unit.

Over the years, Verizon has offered faster Internet speeds to FiOS users. However, the old Tellabs ONTs max out at 75M. In order to subscribe to faster speeds, Verizon will need to replace the Tellabs with one manufactured by Alcatel-Lucent (now part of Nokia).

The Verizon contractor mounted the ONT and enclosure on a new wooden backboard we installed for the new service. The installation looks nice. The ONT fits nicely inside the enclosure.

I've seen online pictures of the Alcatel-Lucent I-211M-L units mounted within an enclosure. The internal cabling looks messy.

Does anyone, who has FiOS at home, have the I-211M-L within the enclosure? I'd like to have some idea of how easy or difficult it is to have the inside of the enclosure wired clean & neat.
Here is a youtube video showing one mounted in an enclosure.

The inside cabling isn't as clean/neat looking as cabling inside the enclosure of the Tellabs 611 & 612. I'll post a picture of the ONT down in the basement of the house for a comparison.

The pictures of the A-L ONT that I've printed out show a slightly different enclosure. That one has the ONT mounted with the connectors on the bottom and the status LEDs on the top.

The unit is held in place with a Velcro strip that runs horizontally.
This is the ONT that has been in our basement since 2007.
