I have recently become responsible for administering our telephone system. It is a Telrad Digital 400 system and everybody has a Telrad Digital phone. 3 phones are executive sets with expanded displays, but most are 79-420-0000 phones. We are also on a T1 phone line and I have installed the necessary card into the 400 box. Someone else programmed it for me, but I do have a laptop with connecting cables to reprogram the system. [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com] We are having issues with the way the system rings and when the office administrator forwards her phone. I need to find out how to fix: "As you know, the Admin phone is at Reception and I am the back-up. When the receptionist goes to lunch I have sole responsibility for telephone coverage, however, if I am on the phone incoming calls do not ring to my line (as they used to do). I have had several complaints from callers that they called and received our voicemail." and how to fix "Again, if I have sole responsibility for the phones and I move to another location I can no longer forward incoming calls from my phone – this can only be done from reception."
HELP!!!!!!!!!! [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]

Do you know if the front phone is a Attendent console and is the transfer being done with Day Alert?

Thanks for giving me a response.
The Receptionist's and the Office Manager's Phones are Executive Sets DAP #79-100-0000/3 with an extra button panel attached to the right side. Mine is the same without the extra panel.

Reply - Part 2. Re "Day Alert" I doubt it. Until you mentioned it we had never heard of that particular facility/option. [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]

When you went to the T1 is when the ringing changed right. Is the T being routed with DID's?

Thanks again for the response. Yes, since the switch to the T1 is when we have had the ringing problems. I don't know what you mean by "Is the T1 being routed with DIDs?" We have 22 numbers in a rollover group and each phone has a direct dial number as well, and I think I have 60 of those, not all allocated. [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]
I service the Baltimore and Washinton area and can program the system or just answer questions for you. Would be interested in finding out the company you got it from to see if it was my system before.
I know your company. What happened to the english gentelman. Your company used to have a system at the pentagon.
Unclejay78 - that's me. [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com] I didn't want to go to Interconnect if I could find a solution online. I have to say we are finding all sorts of vagaries in the system since we switched over to the T1, but my bills have come way down with the T1

What software level is in the system. You can change the extensions to PBX mode and this will allow for multi stations ringing and forward functions to work. Hope you have Rel6 or above software as 5 or below had issues with PBX mode.

To be honest I am not sure!! [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com] The program I open is called DKEYBX.EXE and when it opens it takes me to a page entitled OPERATIONAL MODE MENU and on the right side of the screen it says PCP SBU5.10 and then it has a menu with the following items in it: 1. Off-Line Programming. 2. Connect to system directly. 3. Connect via Modem (Direct Dialling). 4. Connect via Modem (Manual Dialling)
I have in the past used menu items 1 and 2. Don't know if this helps!! I am a little confused to say the least!!

Sounds like you have release 5. Use option 2 to connect to system and then op2 again...look in the upper left corner of the screen. It will tell you the version of software in the switch.

Best thing for you to do is contact a moderator, like ssphone. These guys are the experts!
