Hi Lads
Anybody got any ideas on why im getting a flashing line key on transfering calls from any extension. For example.
I ring in on my mobile answer call on everybodys sets it shows as a line in use (red)but if i then transfer that call to another extension and take the call on that ext the line flashes on every other set as if it was on hold even though i have transfered and taken the call on another set system is is 128 version 3.10 with emagen
any ideas would be great thanks jd

Well your playing with a dinasour. How about a system reset and try again. Come to think of it what type phones do you have if I remember right there was a time on some phones there wasn't dual color LED's on the early basic sets.

There is a problem with direct trunk lines on 3.10 and 3.11. There is the process of fixing it now.

But the problem that you say isn't consented with the issue you said. The problem that I know of is that the light doesn't turn red on the phone with the call right after the call is hung up.

I haven't seen the problem on transfered call but it might be related (check it out on my system). I'll keep you posted when I here about the fix. Witch should be out shortly.

OK so my bad. Guess I should have asked if it was a IPeX. 3.10 was the last version of release 3 from 92-94. E2E-3.10 ( and now 3.11) are the latest.

Tony I hadn't heard of that issue with trunk I have direct trunks programmed on my switch here in the office without that problem.
jd how are the lines being deleivered. T1 or copper if copper what card COL or COG? Do you have the correct chip level on the card?

Regular POTS on a mpd CID mod and probably on the COL CHL's. If you have direct trunks (tk 801)
The light doesn't turn to red right after you hang-up, (just pick-up a trunk and hang up, It stays sloid green for a second instead of turning red then off) It stays green then drops out. It's not a major problem. Just looks alittle wierd.

JD are you in PBX Mode or Key Mode??

I'm in key mode and saw no problems with the transfering. i'm 3.11

I just tested and jd it did just as you said. I am programmed in PBX mode I tranfered the call to 2nd ext and it flashed green until it was hung up. Tony I also see what you said about not changing to red before drop off. Guess neither were a issue for me until now.

Hi lads
Thanks for the posts
Sorry i took so long to get back to you
lines were pstn analouge trunks on a col card and programed as tk 801 tk802 and so on
was back at same site today customer upgraded to basic rate isdn i programed float keys on all sets except reception so now only the main set has flashing keys as they are programed still as tk keys
funny thing is that we install a good few of the mpd2 and ipex ver 3.10 and i never seen this happen on any of these systems.
The only difference that i know with this card is that it originaly had usa software on it which i replaced with
uk version but i have done that before on a few occasions with no problems

We had the same problem with one of our new IPEX customers. The tech that t/s it upgraded the IPEX Software and that fixed it. Not sure what version, if I can find out, I will let you know.
