We need to expand the Toshiba CTX system in our office. We currenty have 20 stations and would like to add two more. If I spec out my system can you tell me what I will need to do to be able to add the two phones?

What are the specs on the system right now? i.e. how many trunks lines, voicemail ports, dss consoles? You may need to upgrade the license if you exceed the current available licensed ports.

Can I just replace one of the 8 port station cards with a BDKS/BDKU mother daughter combo card?

Yes, you can put in a bdku/bdks but you may want to check to see if you have enough licensed ports as you may not be able to get all 16 ports off of the bdku/s.

sweet! How do I check?

Is it just as easy as swapping the old with the new cards?

This looks like it may be over your head because you will have to delete the ports first before you can swap the card. In addition, you may need to upgrade the license. Although you might be able to do some programming via a dkt set, you will need WinAdmin to upgrade the license. Where about are you located?

I am in Nevada. Do you know of a company that could do the programming remotely?

Sorry, I don't know anyone from Nevada that can refer you to. You might just want to look in the phone book in your area for a Toshiba dealer, or visit Toshiba's website to find one.

Is it something that can be done remotely?

Do you have the AMDS attached to the ACTU? Dial #19 from a phone and listen for the modem to answer. If you have the network RJ45 jack on the ACTU, you might be able to allow someone to remotely program if you configure your network to allow it.
