Has anybody used other voice mails beside the Stragegy or Flash with DK's????

Im looking for a voice mail that I dont have to lug around a damn laptop with me, everytime I have to change programming....

BETTER YET...are there any voice mails out there that you set up once with a laptop and change future programming simply from a phone??

I have a customer that has a full boat DK424 with an old analog 4 port VM on it. At some time I'll be putting a new VM on there. I would put on a Keyvoice Corporate Office Lite. Administer with a laptop on site or a keyboard & a monitor or a phone---and after that(except for once a year or so checking of settings) just make changes using the "Teleparameter" feature through a remote phone. It works slick. I do 90% of my changes remotely---no separate modem needed---just need a backdoor or direct access to the AA. The only thing you can't do is work in DOS for defrags & changing some of the file settings---but I suppose you could put a modem on the thing if you wanted. I haven't found it necessary to do that yet. And there are some things that you just HAVE to be there to do. When on site, you can do alot of tweaking--delete, add & change from any system phone. Solid system in my opinion.

Just remembered, Mitch....last year a customer called --had a Engenius cordless phone (for sales) go out and his calls were still being routed to it through the main greeting. I was in my vehicle--I dialed into the system with my cell phone (had headsets) and in about 2 minutes changed the routing to his desk phone. They were impressed.

Well, Mitch, I'm sorry for setting you off in a completely wrong direction. It seems that I have suggested a product that no longer is manufactured by a company that is out of business. I must have some wrong information. I thought they were still in business and have purchased a company who made a product that was really, quite good. BTW--where have you been getting YOUR information?? Just because a company restructures itself and relocates---does not necessarily mean that it is OUT OF BUSINESS. But then, again, you may be right...but I don't think so. At any rate, please disregard my suggestions. Good Luck in your quest.
