Hi! I have a Strata DK 40i with an external Strategy VM system. We have a receptionist answer calls but he lets it go to the autoattendant (VM) if he's on the phone/busy. Currently it takes 7 or 8 rings before that happens.

His phone is set with all the line instances for the office (6 or 7 incoming lines) so he can see all the lines for the office.

How can change the number of rings before it goes to VM?

The most adjustable way is to call forward no answer ext 200 to vm. Remove the programing on the phone that will send callers to personal greetings. You will find the instructions in you user guide.
Enter CFNA code, Enter V.M. ext., Enter timer 08 for 4rings. Play with the timer there seems to be no real logic to the time amount.

Or set the delay ring in program DAY 1
82 for 4 rings to go to V.M. 83 for 8 rings

The call forward no answer will only work if ext 200 is the only phone that rings on the lines.
System programming will be the way to do this but can be very trying for a newbee. But as stated above Program 82 is Ringing on a 12 sec delay and Program 83 is a 24 sec delay sounds like 83 is what is programmed it this time.
