Hi again! I've got messages in to Dan, just so you don't think I'm trying to get free advice! :O) ANYWAY - as I'm trying to run Program 81, I get to the point of "81 SELECT= " , 00-07, #, then HOLD - and it says "DATA PROGRAMMED" then I exit programming, but still, only the )) phone rings. The line lights up on the other phones so you can SEE it ringing..... but not hear it......

Are any of the LED's lit red? If not they start at the bottom left, on a 20 button phone, or just the bottom button for line 1 and prceed upward for lines 2, 3, etc. after 81 select 00-07 # lit the LED's and then Hold.
Also check station 10 or 100 to see if there is a night button. Nite button is using 81 if off, 84 if flashing, and 87 if lit solid.

Guess what! Turns out the DK16e requires THREE digits as port #'s! Soooooo, all the programming that didn't work for the 01,02,03, etc - works now!

SO - don't anyone know the quick & dirty program # to make Caller ID show up?

Thanks!!!!

There is a piece of hardware that you need in the system for caller ID to be passed. It is an RCIU. Honestly, I am not certain if it is even compatible with a 16e.

The RCIU would go in an expansion cabinet, not sure how to program it. Try to find a TCIU, just snaps onto the main board in the base cabinet.

My manual states that it can be done. I have not installed a RCIU but I have installed a TCIU2 in a DK16e. The program notes I have refer to *50 , *51 , *52 , prgm 39 code 462, prgm 60-1, There are wiring modifications when using a RCOU/RCIU2 in the expansion cabinet and the programming could be tricky. I suggest you contact a moderator to help you with the programming.

<smacks self in the head>
Yep, TCIU, not RCIU. RCIU would go on a CO card in the expansion. I do not know what I was thinking.
