Hello.

I was reading if another forum that the Toshiba phones system were the most difficult and confusing out of all the business phone systems on the market.

I was wondering if you think this is true or if you have encountered a system that was more difficult to program than Toshiba?

Thanks
They are all hard when you are starting out. I had trouble with the TIE Businesscom years ago. And the Mitel SX series Analog...WOW!

I have been working on Toshibas since '98 and can program a full-blown DK40 in about 20 minutes. The new CTX uses a windows based package that is very easy via IP.

When you work on them long enough, they're all easy!

Toshiba was the first system I learned, but since have had experence with Lucent and Meridian and Norstar. I think Toshiba is the easiest. The option 81 for Norstar would be my pick.

Um, how about the Iwatsu Omega III, its all dipswitches and a major pain in the ass.
"A Full-Blown DK-40"

Havent heard that term in a long time....
I think Toshiba is the most difficult to program. Being certified in Toshiba, Samsung, Vodavi, NEC, Nitsuko it takes alot to make something work. For instance, setup V.M. on a Toshiba compared to a Samsung or Vodavi and see which is easier.
If you have a DK programing manual all the programs needed to intergrate v.m. are in the begining of the book. The hardest part is going to each phone and entering the call forwarding commands. CTX it's all window base there are set-up wizzards in programing to batch commands for extensions and you can do this all on your laptop no more chasing down phones.
I forgot to add this in my last post. All systems have their qirks once you learn their langauge/terms they are ok to program
