I am using the Stratagy Auto Attendantin Night Transfer mode to allow outside callers to access extensions within the facility after business hours.

Normally these calls ring to offices, then go to Voice mail if not answered.

I have some SLT extensions in the plant, that I want to ring if selected by callers after hours. But, I don't want voice mail to ever answer these selected extensions. In order for Stratagy to recognize these as vslid extensions, they have to be voice mail boxes, or so it seems to me.

Is there a way to accomplish this? Can I program the thing to allow ringing an extension and not have voice mail pick it up? Any suggestions appreciated.
A call can be transfered to and ring a single line extension that does not have a voicemail box.

You should be able to make an outside call to the voicemail and select any extension by dialing it's 2, 3 or four digit extension. Can you NOT do this?

Will someone always answer? What do you want to happen if no one answers?

A mailbox is required for the transfer. Here's what you do. Create the mailbox, place an H after the extension in the extension field of the mailbox and set the mailbox to not store messages.
As long as the slt sets do not have call forwarding to voicemail and has no vm id code, it's mailbox will not answer. But, if the slt does not answer, the call may recall back to Stratagy (due to transfer recall timer) but should be answered by mailbox 990. The transfer recall timer is adjustable per station on the CTX/CIX and DK.

I did figure out that I needed a voice mail box in order to get Stratagy to allow an extension to be accessed. If there is no voice mail box, Stratagy says the extension is invalid.

I will try the phonemeister solution today. As always, you guys are the best!

Thanks.
