Its hot here in Tropical Buffalo NY and the overheated telcom room took out another compact flash on our Stratagy Brick!

My problem is when I attempt to connect with the admin software via my null modem cable I get this error "unable to right status while initialize the modem"

I am using the same laptop, admin software and cable that I used last year to reload the compact flash software. Is there a step I am missing?

what com port do you have set in the admin program ?? If you are using com 1 , I have never been able to connect localy using com1 have to use com 2, not sure if everyone has this problem or just me , could be because my modem is com 1

I always used com 1 for serial cable, and com 2 for modem.

I've seen that error when I had problems with the cable. I switched out the null modem cable and connected without a problem.
