Need some help getting caller ID working. Have a PRI and not receiving caller ID name...only number. Are there any flags need to be turned on?
Are you getting name from the provider? The only option would be in system settings. Make sure CallerID is set instead of DNIS. other than that. you should receive Name if the provider is sending it.
PRI should be NI II if I am not mistaken.
I am sorry....excuse my ignorance, but where would I find that in winadmin?
Program 105 FB19. But like above post says, telco must be sending the name for you to get it.
It is set to Caller ID. Customer has a BVII with PRI from Cbeyond. They claim to be sending name. What else can I look for? Could it be display on phone not showing both name and number and must be toggled?
I dont think the phone would stop that from happening. maybe, and this is a stretch,,,,,,,,, if its a dkt2000 series phone then maybe but I highly doubt it...
Hook up directly to BPTU with PPTC-9 and use Hyperterminal to see if the name is there.
I know that DKT2000 series phones can display the caller id name using the CTX 100.
I used winadmin to set up my caller id. The settings are under trunk/assignments/callerid. My signaling method is "class." My signaling contents is "ANI and DNIS." My class equipment number is "010201." The last number depends on the location of your caller id board.
The people of this board helped me set up my system.
ringtone...I see the settings that you talk about but I don't think they are for a PRI. I think they are for analog or T1 setup. I spoke to a technical friend of mine, he suggested that maybe the PBX is discarding the name...maybe there is a timer that would delay the receipt of aller ID info. Any ideas on this?
If you have a PRI the settings ringtone is talking about won't apply
Have you tried what phonemeister suggested?
about hooking to the PRI card with procomm?
What pri card do you have in the 100 and are you going thru a csu. Newer pri cards don't need a csu and going straight from the smart jack to rptu/bptu card. In the past I had a csu cause problems for incoming fax calls
Turned out to be telco issue...go figure...protocol issue.
