I am installing a call accounting package on a Strat CTX 100, and cannot get SMDR output to my software. I made a PPTC-9 connector as such:1 = Black 2 = Blue 3 = Yellow 4 = Red 5 = White 6 = Green 7, 8, 9 not used and am using a standard 3 pair cord. I programmed the I/O device for 9600,8,n and still nothing...HELP!?!?!

If I remember right all 9 pins in a PPTC9 are used and some are shorts.

Reverse one end of your 3 pair cord, you may have polarity wrong on your PPTC

I still need correct mod pinout and cable pinout.
Any takers?

The pinout that you have above for your PPTC-9 is correct, for the cable, it is a standard 3 pair base cord so if you are looking at each end side by side, it should be blue, yellow, green, red, black, white on one end and white, black, red, green, yellow, blue on the other.

Have to ask, one end is the DB9 connector is the other a 6 cond or 8?

You made the PPTC-9? I would double-check that with the I&M manual, or get one from Toshiba.

It would be a 6 pin connector

TTT it should be a 6 that's why I asked.

Mine is DB9 to 8 pin...could that be the problem?

I bet it is. Rewire your PPTC9 so that pins 2-7 are like pins 1-6 on a genuine PPTC9.
