A long while back we had a button that when pressed 1 time it would send all calls to the front desk and when pressed a 2nd time it would send the calls to voice mail.

Currently it is set to send all calls to voice mail with code 440. Am I on the right track that if I want to change this to send all calls to the front desk, I would change this code to be ##000, which I believe the front desk port to be.

The incoming calls in question are tied to a main line coming in that any of 5 people can pick up and answer. If this would be to work, I would change the button for all these 5 phones.

Thanks,
Dan

What you are referring to is a NIGHT key. It has 3 operating modes :

1. Day Mode (button off)
2. Day 2 Mode (button blinking)
3. Night Mode (button solid red)

If this is on a DK280/424 then you can program where those calls go in program 81/84/87 (for POTS) or 71-1/2/3 (for ISDN/PRI)
Code 440 is Night transfer for tenant 2. Do you have multiple tenants for the trunks?
Yes, We have 2 tenants here. The main is our Main company and the 2nd is the academy. They have their own lines coming in.

It is POTS lines. Right now the button is only on or off, no blinking.

I will check out those program numbers. Thank you for that.

I have the program book but I always get confused in what codes to actually use:

Am I correct in this:

Ring Assignment 4 = Day 2 ring

CO Line# (I am assuming these are the lines for the academy which are 10-12) = 010*012

Station Logical Port # = 000 (the main reception desk)
There is no button setting for these programs. Am I right in assuming the program will work regardless of buttons or phone model: 2010 or 2020?
Programming regarding multiple tenants is not a simple task. I would suggest that seek an experienced Toshiba tech to come do this for you.
