We've got a DK424 with IVP8 voice mail that we decommissioned about a year ago. We're finally pulling it out and will probably give it to whoever wants it, eBay it, or maybe even post it here for sale.

My question is, since we didn't administrate it when it was in use (and I'm not a Toshiba guy), is there any way to factory default the switch and the IVP8 before we get rid of it? The PC with the voice mail software got tossed in a dumpster a long time ago (not my idea), and we don't have any of the admin software (don't even know if it's needed for this).

Any help would be great. Thanks!

Yes, you can "default" the 424, but that is not a procedure which will be posted in the public forum (for obvious security reasons). You should contact your local Toshiba dealer or a mod off the public forum to get help with these issues.

I do not work on the IVP8's so I am not sure there (but I would guess there is, as on most VM systems). I'm sure someone will post soon about the IVP8

What all do you have in the system (station cards, CO cards, etc.)?

Thanks for the reply, Steve - PM sent back.

MacOSX - I just realized I may have the admin manual for this system.. Quick question that (hopefully) can be answered publicly.. Can you default the system without a laptop and the service software? Can it be done from ext 200? I'll check what I have to be sure, but that may point me in the right direction..

As for specs, I don't remember exact card configuration, but the unit supported 40 DKT-2010s and 2020s, 10 CO lines, and the VM. It's also a dual cabinet setup. Currently, we've reused the phones with a Citel VoIP gateway (yes, I'm that evil) and have been refurbishing them with Priority 1 as they die. We're currently (slowly) migrating the site to all IP phones - it's going slow because of the old wiring in the building.
