Hi:

New to the Toshiba CIX40 and have emanager up and running - system seems very powerful but it takes 5 keystrokes to bring up the find in the internal directory on my 5 line LCD's

I would love to assign these steps to a one button (like a macro) but cannot find out how in the manuals so any of you that can help a Newbie save time would be a blessing.

Thanks
What 5 keystrokes are you talking about? I can hit "Int Dir" on my phone, hit "Find" and a list of all exts pops right up. I obviously have to scroll through to find the one I want but it seems pretty simple to me. I just checked a 5000 series phone and it was 3 keystrokes and you have your list. My IPT2008, 2 keystrokes.

Also, its a CIX40, maxed out it can only support 16 digital and 8 IP phones, add in the 2 analog and thats 26 exts total. Get a 20 btn add on module and you can almost fit every ext on it, or hang a small ext list next to your phone somewhere or use the little slide out card on the phone itself(2000 and 3000 series phones only) and you will have your directory right there at a glance.

I think you might be the first person that I know of that actually cares about the internal directory. laugh
Thanks for the feedback we have 16 extensions with two Analogs and 5 lines here at our office. Our main ones are the large screen LCDs (4) but the others are the 5 line 10 button units so I was interested if this could be done.

It also goes to my understanding of the underlying techniques. Had a free button on the 10 Key and wanted it to bring up the Intra list out of convenience and curiosity

My 5 Keystrokes were actually 4 then finding the extension then the call but just getting these 4 onto one key would be great

Mode -> DIR ->INTR -> Find
