for some odd reason whenever there is a power outage or an IP phone gets rebooted some of them will come up "Searching IPU….IPU not found" and it may sit that way for hours until it syncs back up with the phone system others will start working right away.?.?.? Does anyone know why this happens or why it takes so long for the phones to sync back up with the phone system?

Thanks!

Try resetting the xIPU card when this happens. I've had this issue on some of the older xIPU firmware versions.
Does it stick on Searching IPU or does it stop at "Trying LAN"?

If it gets stuck on trying LAN, then there is a setting on the phone to make it stop doing that. It is listening for an IPU on the local connection.

If it is a power outage then the internet may not be up completely when the phone is looking for the IPU. The next step in the phones boot is to look for the card on th LAN.
reset card and it came up. upgrading firmware. we'll see if this will cures the problem.

What appears to happen is the xIPU card believes the phones is still connected and thus will not not let it register.
