CIX 670... one of our bosses wants to know if there is anyway to forward his inbound calls to his cell phone. He wants the system programmed instead of having to remember to forward it manually ever time he leaves his office. He dosen't realize it but his inbound number is a DID assigned to a MCG. I tried the phone number in the MCG with delay 1 along with the other three extensions on delay 1. It didn't work... anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Here is 2 options.
As long as there are not many people that need this, you can give hime a night key that will control his DID. You would assign him to another tenant, and assign that DID to the same tenant. Make sure his COS allows him to change Day/night and assign a night key on his phone. You could not do this with lot of people (7 max).

Option 2 would require 2 buttons and would not give you any visual indefcation. The first buttom would be a one touch key with; #6012{MCG pilot}#9{destination}#

That would set call forwarding on the MCG. The second button would cancel call forwarding; #6052{MCG}#.

An reason he needs MCG, as opposed to a PhDN, which he could be the owner of?

The MCG is set up because the DID gets answered by one of the members in the MCG. When everybody goes home or are out of the office he wants the inbound calls from that DID to ring on a cell phone. He would like it programmed in the system so he doesn't have to remember to do anything. Does this help?

How is the system gonna know when everyone has gone home? There is gonna have to be some user participation in order for this to work. Unless of course everyone goes home and the system gets put into night service in which case you can program the DID to ring the cell when the system is in night mode. You can auto schedule the night mode to come on and off at a specific time, or put a night transfer button on phones so that they can manually put the system in night/day mode.
