Info: I have a CIX 670 firmware AR5.20 MT052.00
The phone setup is a 2000 dkt 20 button and a 60 button DSS set. The phone has a 1 pdn and 5 phantom dn's in a hunt group. The phone gets all different kinds of calls all day.
Problem: When a call is on hold on the 1st dn, phantom dn 3 blinks rapidly, appearing like a call is coming in. This appears to happen regardless of any other of the phantom lines in use. Phantom line 3 also exhibits this problem when the soft key "page button" has been hit twice. The rapid blinking on line 3 disappears when the page button is hit one more time. When the phone system is rebooted, the problem then doesn't appear again for 2-3 days.

I do the phone system's programming. How does anybody go about fixing this problem? :bang:

Also, I really wanted to get that problem out there. I forgot to say hello to all. This is the best site I have seen with people collectively helping each other with these proprietary phone system's: Awesome.

My first post on here!!

I have the same problem on my CIX 670. Last Tuesday (3/29) the vendor who does more complex maintenance for us came and installed a BCTU2A processor and a BEXu2A expansion card. I was gone on Wednesday and when I came in our main station which has a pdn and 4 or 5 phantom dn's has "hold" on the DKT3020 display and one of the phantom dns flashes what looks like to be the 10 pulses per second. If you press the "page" soft key it will go away. This station has a DDS3060 as well as a add on module.

Our vendor came in (very knowledgeable)and he had never seen that problem before and he fixed it by deleted the entire station and adding it back. Problem fixed UNTIL I came in this morning and the same problem was happening again.

Any thoughts?!?

Hey yes we just switched Proc's too. Not to mention in the first post I have tried all these things. Reboots, unplugs, reprogrammed the phone, check and double checked the programming. Even took out the phdn that the problem occurs on and it still does it.
I guarantee it's something small and insignificant.

I noticed also that the if I remove the phdn the "hold" is on the display still and even though the button is not usuable since I removed the phdn, it still flashes.

Hopefully someone has an easy answer...

If the affected station is on a BDKU version 1, change it out with a new version.

I believe this problem was resolved with the newest software upgrade available on point release if you dont have access to point release contact your dealer to get the newest software

Access Tech. Unfortunately I am not familiar with "point release". Do you mean the eManager software(We have version V5.20A06f)? Or is this the actual software on the processor (I looked under program 901 and it states AR5.20 MT052.00)? This may make sense that we do not have the newest version of some software because I asked the vendor tech if we need to update any settings, etc. after the export from old processor and import to new processor and he said "eh, we can do it as needed".

phonemeister, the station states Model DKT3020-SD and right under that it states V.1. Is this the version 1 you are referring to? Hopefully we do not have to spend the money to replace the phone just to fix this issue.

The BDKU is the station card inside the CIX cabinet.

To phonemeister I haven't gave that a shot yet, so I'll have to try it. Wondering both phone and DSS?
I'm guessing since its only the phone the phone is all that matters. Gheesh I totally over looked that BDKU cards. See if memory serves me correctly BDKU is post PDKU card? anyway I'm now convinced that's the problem. I never think about the equipement. DARN

Just ran into this issue today with a CIX100 running MT052

The problem is in the software version. Like Access said, the Toshiba point release website has the new software (MT055) which fixes the issue.

To get it you need to log into the point release site with your dealer number and PIN

Edit--
Forgot to add that since it's point release you will need to do a local update by putting the file on the SD card and running the program. NeEmanager update procedure does not work.
