Alright, so recently we had to replace the toshiba brain at my clients. and re-program everything from scratch. I have all things working except one last thing. the $%$# doorphones.
currently when I push the button it grabs co line 5, and gives me a dial tone. heh. I have the doorphone itself connected on my desk next to my programming phone to save me some walkin.

alright, its a dk424, we are hooked on port 020 with a ddcb3a, in *04 I have made sure that 500 is set to 500.
program 39, I have given my programming station led 11, phantom dn ##500, in program 79, I have set port 005, to led 8, on.
in program
77-1, I have turned on 07,09,11,13,18,20
(this was from the old brain's programming which I didn't do originally)
in program *33, I set phdn 500 to port 005.

I also have ports 89,031,032, that I need to ring, but I figured once I get one, I should be able to get the rest.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks.

check program 32 for port 020 , check the off hook preference for 020. sounds like it is set to pickup line 5

To make the MDFB ring a PhDN, use prog *71-*73 and *79.

Program *71
alright, I'm sure this is where I'm confused - heh. I get in there, and I see port reference number , I put 500, and then select EK Button that should ring? alright, here's my ignorance showing.. what's an EK Button.??

The first page is port 000-019.

Port 20 is doorphone 3 so which doorphone socket are you connected to? A,B or C?
Just light leds 01-12 in prog 79 for port 005
This will make all doorphones ring port 005.

I have doorphone a and b connected, I'll be going back out here in a little bit to try the suggestions. Thanks for all the replies, I'll let y'all know if you straightened out the mess in my head. heh

alright -
*79 - 3-1 and 3-2 are set to 500

here's whats weird - and may help. grr
doorphone a - grabs co line 5
doorphone b - off hooks onto co line 10
doorphone c - off hooks onto co line 15.

Program *33, 500 should be set to what? the phone/s I want to ring, or the doorphone's port, when I looked at the old brain's programming it didn't have anything set. if it needs to be blanked, heh, how can I reset it back to default.

now if you say it looks like the doorphone is programmed to do that. what program should I look under.

also, when I just hit intercom 500, on the programming phone I get 300 busy, if that helps any.

Sounds like the phdn for the doorbox is owned by a vacant port hence the "300 busy" error. Set the owner to an active port/extension.

Solved -

Alright, besides the comedy of errors.... the most basic one is, when I recorded down the settings from the brain that was hit from lightning in program 77-1. I had marked something like 7,9,11,13.
now the exact opposite of 11 and 13, is 18 and 20 on the 20 button strip.
well.....
when 11 and 13, didn't exist in the programmers manual, I assumed that I had transcribed the old brains settings incorrectly and changed 18 and 20. Well by turning on led 18, I made the whole thing from there on out not work. When I had a moment and could plug in the old brain to check settings, I found this, and changed it, and voila. good to go..

Truly appreciate all the info you guy's provided, and it definitely led me to this solution.
