Hello all,

I have an executive that forwards his phone to another employee when he leaves the office. When somone calls his line, it forwards to the other user, showing the caller id. The executive would like it to show his extension instead of the CID. Is there, in EManager, a setting at the station level to make this happen. Is it even possible?

Thanks

Yes, but it's system-wide. How about creating a phantom extension on a button assigned to the target phone, then the executive call call forward his extension to that phantom extension? This way, the person receiving the forwarded calls will know that it's from the executive extension because the call will flash on that phantom button.

The other option is a SDN of the managers extn on the employee's phone with a delay1 or delay2 ring so no divert required on the managers extn so no way he can forget to set the divert.
If the manager has VM it could then overflow after the delay to his mailbox if it doesnt get answered on the managers or employee's handsets.
Thanks for everyone's help. I'm going the route of a phantom. Now the biggest hurdle is getting the receptionist to remember that the button is the Exec's call forwarded smile

Have a great week.

Label the button and make it ring a different tone.
