I'm working with a DK 424i and am unable to enter programming mode using:

*****

as suggested in the DK Programming Guide. I have pulled the memory battery jumpers from the processor cards thinking that there may have been some old setting preventing me from entering the programming mode, but no luck.

Thanks.
only works from port 5 or 13

Are you trying to program through port 005?

Start counting from port 000, so the 6th port is 005.

Ah, good to know.

I am trying to program from the first line/extension on the first PDKU2 card in slot S101 of my main cabinet.

Forgive me, but is a port a "line" ( a set of twisted pair coming from the PDKU2 card) or a card slot in the cabinet?
