Greetings all,

Please forgive me if my post is a little rough around the edges as I'm more of a server guy than voice guy. With that being said, the problem I've run into is this:

I have a Strata DK424 that's been connected to a PRI for nearly the last decade and working flawlessly. A week ago, we moved voice and data over to a metro Ethernet solution from the same CLEC we've been using. Data went fine, however voice wasn't so easy. The CLEC installed an Adtran 908e and configured one of its net ports as a PRI with the same settings as the PRI delivered over copper. When we cut over and moved the phone system from the copper PRI to the Adtran, a strange thing happened. The phone system could make outbound calls, however inbound calls would not complete. Both the CLEC and the phone system vendor went over settings for quite some time, however could not resolve the issue. The CLEC technician was, however, able to both place and receive calls through his tberd connected to the 908e. We wound up moving service back to the copper-based PRI in order to restore voice service.

Fast forwarding to today, the phone system vendor is telling me that he talked with Toshiba and they're stating that the only option to make this work is to replace the 424 with a CIX670. It seems a little odd to me, however I wanted to run it by the experts here. I realize the 424 is an old system, however it doesn't seem as though this move shouldn't have created such an issue.

I greatly appreciate any advice!

Thanks,
Jason
Make syre the PRI provider isn't sending name and number on callerID , it will only work with one not both, we usually have them send number only
Toshiba doesn't support the 424 anymore so thats why they said to upgrade.
I'll check into that. Thanks!
I wonder if this is a NI2 vs a 5Ess. The 424i may have been set to something different on the copper PRI.
