In Outgoing caller ID, can I spoof the 7 digits or does it have to be an actual DID?

The carrier will usually reject the number if its not an actual DID on the circuit. Easy enough to give it a try though.

I have spoofed on a PRI with a Comdial DXP for years, sends it out no problem.

I have had may carriers in tha past that will take anything I give them. Many now will reject any caller ID that is not a DID on that circuit. They will also reject forwarded calls when the system tries to pass the incoming caller ID back out.

Many providers are using VoIP to blend the voice and data into the same T1. Those will almost always require a valid DID to be used as caller ID.
Just found out, the 670 will NOT spoof any number, I have to have Telepacific kill it in their switch. Rats, I wasted time on this.
