On a cix 100, not sure on the version right now with PRI and IVP8. There are 2 companies that use this system. Company 1 main greeting 990, company 2 box 510. Company 1 works fine, company 2 I get to go to VM, but only to box 990 not 510. Im sure this is simple and im missing it. Thanks

You need to set the VMID in the DID programming, should be set to the mailbox number you want it to go to.

I tried that, I had VMID to 510 and had day 1, 2 and night set to dialing digits to 8. Do I need to put the dialing digits in also or just the VMID? Thanks

When you set the day1, 2, and night Dst Type to dialing digits, you need to specify which digits to dial in the day1, 2, and night Dst Digits (the boxes just to the right of the dialing digits). In this case you would enter the vm pilot number, and then in VMID enter which specific mailbox you want it to go to which sounds like you want it to go to 510.

Keep in mind this is if you want the call to go directly to the 510 mailbox without ringing any phones.

You could also use a Pilot DN to target VM 510 directly. Keep in mind that if a caller into 510 (company 2) makes an entry error the call is going to default to 990 (company 1), just something to be aware of.

I put 8 the pilot number for the VM under all 3 audio dialing digits and then 510 in the vmid and it still rings the main box. I also tried putting 510 under the dialing digits and it didnt work.

You sure that 8 is your vm pilot number? I know that by default, 8 is a flexible access code in the CIX. Another dumb question but you do have a mb 510 programmed in the IVP8, correct? Is DND turned on in the mb?

Other than that it sounds like you have it programmed correctly.

I did set up a 8 as the pilot. I dont think I put DND on for mb 510, so thats probably why. When I go down there I will check. Thank you very much!

I know this may sound a bit strange, but I had been shown many years ago( by the former Toshiba Guru)a different way to ring to a different company greeting when the mailbox is set to not store messages. If I wanted to go to mailbox 510, I would create a mailbox 511 with the RNA to go to 510, then set the VMID to 511.

Initially I did not question his method. Sometime later I found out that, primarily on an ES or IES system, when you set the mailbox to not store messages and the default RNA is set to record, the caller would be bounced to the main menu. But I haven't really noticed this same thing with DOS based voicemail systems like the IVP8.

Normally assigning the VMID in the DID assignments will work. The use of a pilot DN usually works also, plus works for analog trunks DIT.

Did you do anything with groups? If you did you may need to make sure MB 990 and 991 are part of the same group as 510.

I also use 8 as the pilot DN for voicemail. First step, remove the flexible access code
