Toshiba CIX40 Multiple Call Group problem - 08/01/13 04:17 AM
I have an issue on a remote site which is 4 hours away from where I live and I am trying to save some time in fixing an issue, which, according to my regional technical assitance, is a problem with cix software release 65. The software needs to be upgraded to release 67. As I am a new Tech with this client I do not have a backup of the system or an SD card in the cix which I could remotely backup. And I do not want to install new software remotely incase an issue happens and the system needs a restore.
The issue I have is that it is a relatively small site with 8 local phones and two remote IPTs. I have a multiple call group set for immediate ring on just one extention, and Delay1 for voicemail, which is what the client wants.
The problem is that all extensions ring even though they are not in the multiple call group driven by the truck assignment DIT, AND, each extension in key assignments has the physical line appearances set as no ring.
Chris Streiling our Regional Tech assistance says that the problem is with MCG and release 65.
Sorry this is long winded but I am looking for an alternative to driving up there which would work so that the 4 incoming lines ring the receptionist extension only, and if not answered, goes to the general greeting, not the receptionist specific VMID.
Thanks for any advice.
