Is it just me, or is the search feature on this page terrible???

Anyways, here is my problem. I created a multiple call group with two extensions.

1. Calls come through just fine on both extensions, but when caller leaves a VM, neither phones' VM light comes on. So, if I dial VM port number from either phone it does ask me for a code, and does play the message, so correct VM is mapped to the phone.

2. When dialing out from either phone (internal or external), busy signal comes on after a few seconds (before actually dialing anything), and message displays "dial number restricted". So, if you start dialing right after pressing INT, you are fine. If you hit INT and wait a few seconds, the above happens.

I've never had the need to create a multiple call group, so I am not sure how to troubleshoot these issues. Could the problem be in Individual extension programming rather than MCG programming?

Toshiba CIX 670, Network eManager: V5.20B21

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Got #2 resolved, so VM remains the only issue.

If you are trying to light a message waiting light on a phone from a mailbox that does not match the extension number, you will need to modify the notification template. Same with attempting to have a single mailbox light a mw light on multiple phones.

Look at the Multiple Call Group (prg 517) - what is option 5, voice mail ID set at?

That's where the messages will be stored. If I'm using a MCG to ring ext 213, 217 - I'd set that to 213. Then go to Station assignments, and change 217's vmid code to 213. Then go to the VM and add another notify template to 213 to light up 217. (two of them actually, one to light up the light, and one to clear the light.)

Thank you both for your answers! Very Helpful.
Ben - You rock. Got it set up and it works flawlessly.
