in a healthcare office, client call in & they use *67 to hide their phone number. when agent suspected something bad, after hangup they dial *57 (phone provider sniffer). so the phone provider have the phone number logged in and they can call the police to give the address. it's working over a PRI.
question: over a T1 card, the phone provider need the channel ID for this call & and phone number. do you know how to programm it?
tought one..
thanks

*67 and *57 or * anything are services that are associated with POTS or some Centrex lines only. You can't use these codes on PRI services. You might be able to use them on a T1 circuit if the service is being delivered via an end office. Most T1 circuits are delivered from toll offices, meaning that they are in place for direct long distance calling only.

Are you sure that these features ever worked on anything but POTS lines? I really don't think so.

here in Quebec the *57 working on a POT's line.
it has not been tested on a PRI, and we replace the PRI (ROGER's) by a T1 trunk (TELUS).
we have to make sure the *57 things working over a T1, have you heard such config like that? or maybe in SIP trunk?
thanks
