hey,
we recently upgraded our 2u MAS from windows xp to windows 7 using the upgrade kit.

in windows XP, there was a registry entry like HKLM/SOFTWARE/TAIS/StratagyES/Configuration/sys_alias_list containing (among the other tasks) something resembling "{ScheduledShutdown {Tcl {ScheduleUniqueTcl 0201080101010101354ed510 OSShutdown}}}" that could be removed to disable the automatic reboot.
this registry entry moved to "HKLM/SOFTWARE/Wow6432Node/TAIS/StratagyES/Configuration/sys_alias_list" on windows 7.

however, editing this registry entry on windows 7 seems to have no effect.

when logging into eManager, i don't see the task listed under 'Stratagy ES'->'VM System'->'VM Scheduler'.

there is a binary file in 'C:\StratagyES\Persistence' called 002D365.tmp which contains the string "OSShutdown", so i figure this is at least partly responsible for it continuing to reboot itself. maybe this also needs to be deleted along with that portion of the registry entry?

my reason for wanting to disable this auto reboot is because in the past i've seen the MAS/VM not come up after an auto reboot and i prefer to do it just monthly when i can supervise it during windows updates.

thanks,
-matt

looks like stopping Stratagy, deleting the file in C:\StratagyES\Persistence, and then starting it may have done the trick.
it hasn't come back automatically yet like it was before. we'll see next Tuesday if it reboots itself again.
thanks,
