Only one line for now. After initialization and basic programming I can't directly access the line-1 co button. It beeps and I can call out on it using 9+number but if I put it on hold, I can't get it back until the recall time expires. I feel like this should be simple but I couldn't find it...
It lights up when in use. Does this sound familiar?
Does the button light up after you have dialled out using 9+number?
If you dial #7001 this will pick up line 1 does it light up then?
Are you sure when you are dialling 9 that you are not picking up say line 3 or 2?

Yes it lights up with 9+ dialing.
#7 nets a fast busy.
There is only line-1. No other lines till the final move occurs.

Line-1 is the only line in both in & out groups.
Out going permission is enabled for all stations at Key tab for line-1 button.
It sounds like you checked the key assignments.
Maybe check COS to make sure Direct line access is enabled.

David, I was sure I looked at that but remembered it on the left column. I'll have to go back and see. You are referring to 31 Trunk access allowed, right?
My office system, CIX40, has that enabled but 30: Individual trunk access is not enabled and I can use #700? works.
I believe you might be accessing via dial 9 the line 1 on your PDN? If you can't press the second button up from the bottom or the second button up from the bottom isn't the one that lites up after dialing 9.

Line-1, 2nd button up, will light after 9+ dialing. once you establish a call you can put it on hold but pressing line-1 will not get the call back, it just beeps. You have to wait for the hold recall timer to expire to get the call back. And even then you have to pick-up the receiver, pressing the line button alone still does nothing.

If you dial #7 from an idle phone, you immediately get fast busy.

FB 30 is what I was trying to remember. The help says "Privilege to dial individual trunk access code, or use direct line appearances, to access specific lines". This sounds just like your issue to me.

I don't know why it #7001 would work on your CIX 40 in your office, but I would check that box on the CTX28 to see if that helps.

Sorry, Late reply - busy storm...

Can't believe after starring at the COS I didn't see the, or rather imagined I saw the check mark in FB 30 & FB 31.
Finally got back there and checked the box!
Thanks
