Nowhere in my Vodavi book is there a (flash button on right side of phone) 90 to save data on the 2448. This took me a while to figure out after Chris Barclay thankfully pointed me in the right direction.

Thought I would pass this on for others to put in their database of problem solvers. Others had tried to program and gave up when they could not save the changes.

Isn't that just like Vodavi? Every Vodavi installation has made me scream. Every Vodavi programming maneuver has made me scream. I Quit buying Vodavi, quit selling them, quit supporting them, and sold their godawful stock. Haven't screamed since then, and every installation is smooth as silk!

Be more specific as to what you are doing and what the problem is and I'm sure someone can help.

Have you tried what the original post said? After you enter all of the data do a flash 90 then Hold.

I just aquired a DVX 2856 Vodavi and have the same problem - but FLASH 90 does not work. No data is retained after reset or pwr cycling.
KSU is a IN2800, CPU software ver 3.3e. CPU battery ok. Any ideas? I have yet to order the manual, but immediate help would be appreciated.

Thanx :-)

The DVX doesn't use flash 90 (never did). That was from the old 2448/4080 systems. You probably have one of the two situations:

1. The battery switch or jumper is not in it's proper position;

2. Dip switch #8 is being left in the on position on the CPU card. It must be in the off position after the system is started up. Leaving it in the on position causes the database to be restored to default upon reset or loss of power.

Thanx, ev407797, but this is the Vodavi that looks like a IDS 84 cabinet (made for Vodavi by Executone before Vodavi went out on thier own). It uses the Infinite phones Model #IN1414. I am familiar with the DVX which you described, but that is known as the DVX Plus AFAIK. This particular system has a "CX" flavor to it (tones, etc are VERY similar to the old CX from Executone). It does however have the admin/maint/diag serial info like the Plus I/II/II, Mach I, XTS, STS, etc.
