Has anyone installed a DuVoice DV4 with the Triad product line, and if so, do you have access to the integration file. DuVoice tech support says they do not have one on file.

Yes, we have done it but it was years ago. Fortunately, Vodavi products offer plenty of flexibility with third-party voice mail integration so you should not have a problem. In our case, the DuVoice was configured for a Lucent system, so we just went into the Vodavi system's programming and changed the integration parameters to match what was already there, like message waiting on/off codes, etc. I have to say that it wasn't a Triad, it was an infinite system but they program exactly the same in most cases. Let me know what Triad system it is and the software version and I might be able to come up with programming info.

It is a Triad 3.

I am pretty sure that the Triad 3 will work since you can tell the KSU what type of digits will be sent through inband signaling and change them. You will need to connect the DV4 and monitor the ports with a digit grabber to find out how the voice mail is programmed, ie: what digits are sent and received to process calls. If the Triad 3 had feature package 4 software on it, you will even be able to change the message waiting on and off codes so that you are matching the phone system to the voice mail, not matching the voice mail system to the phone system. Just go to the attendant's station (usually 100) and dial 605 on the dial pad. This will display the actual software version in use. Once you know this, I can give you better assistance.

We are working on the integration and we have a trace program on the voice mail that shows the inband digits.

If we plug dial tone direct into the VM and call in....the digits look ok.

BUT...when we come off an analog port from the phone system the digits double up...example: when you dial ext 100, you see 11 00 00 in the digit grabber.

Has anyone seen a Vodavi do this??

The phone system has inband signaling tables referred to as "leave and retrieve". The system can insert prefix and suffix digits in addition to the extension number. In your case, it looks like a prefix of "1" and a suffix of "00" is being added to the actual "100". You'll need to try variations of no answer and busy forwarding into the mailbox to "leave" a message, then try retrieving messages to see what changes in the digits that are sent. Sorry I can't offer more help, but until you experiment some more, we really don't know the big picture.

Got it fixed!

Suspecting that the analog adaptor might be defective, we tried it on an STS. Worked just fine. We called Vodavi and got a tech that was just a bit smarter than the previous 2 techs we had spoken with. Here’s the deal….with a Triad-S, when you attach an analog adaptor to the digital ports, you have to cycle the power on the system. THAT’S IT!! You do not have to do this on the STS or the XTS…or the Triad 1, 2, or 3. Only the S!!

So we rebooted…and no echo!
