Through no fault of my own, I'm now the proud owner of another Vodavi DHS system. I don't have a clue yet what s/w version or how many phones....Geeze I'm starting to sound like an end user here :-)

Anyway, from you seasoned DHS dealers, what is the value of this stuff? Or should I just split it up and give some new business a deal?

Sorry Jules, it would severly clash with my TAW-848. I have a pair of Pana TD-1232's and an 816 to dump^h^h^h^h move out before the end of Summer. Searching for the right Mr. Patel on those.

I changed out, traded out, lost my 12-year account to politics(NO, really the last Commissioner retired and I hated the new one(s), sold out, and just simply abandoned my last Vodavi DHS system about 6 years ago. I was pretty unhappy when Vodavi MD'd the 96-EX and I laughed because I got out before the rest of the Analog systems fell like dominos :-)

I still have a flat pack or 2...in Auto dealerships, of course, so I have a small stock of SP sets and KSU's. Now I have a DHS for a short.

OH WELL it was worth a shot.

I dn't know if anybody is aware of this but the DHS still lives under the X-Blue Networks name. They also have a new controller called the Suite-64 that supports 46 phones and a small 9x24 box with a simple flash based voice mail with limited unified messaging.

You can dump these phones cheap or upgrade your customers cabinet with modern voice mail and capacity. We are doing very well with our many installed DHS systems.

So are you selling the X-Blue product line I use to sell PCS digital bit when buy out happened I found a new product. Please let me know.

X-Blue is down the street from me. They are new but the small 9x24 seems relatively solid. It comes in 2 different softwares (at our great insistence) to support the old DHS phones or the new sets. I prefer the DHS phones since there are 24 programmable buttons versus the 9 on the new phones.

All the principals are old Vodavi and Comdial guys. I think they will make this work. Sadly Ronnel, the PCS Digital tech support guy, probably isn't going to be with them much longer. John Boucher is now the lead service tech and has a decent understanding of the product.

They have a really nice 136 port coming out soon. The v-mail system is still being worked out. I think it's worth looking into for low end equipment. Typical T-Com stuff.

Let's not forget Larry Steinmetz (former president) and Ernie Meadows (former VP of quality control) from Vodavi. They are now at the helm of X-Blue. What a great bunch of guys. I truly wish them well. These guys know how to run a top-notch operation and I think they will do well.

Yes Ed Earnie was my sales rep when he was with PCS digital and he was an awesome guy. I have a million miles of respect for the both of them. I am just confused about some things that are going on that is why I no longer sell PCS Digital or the x-blue product line phone look nice but I like my other product line better.

Larry then made his way through Comdial. Up came the alligiance with Tecom for the DX80/120. Moved over to Tadiran..along comes the ICE product from Tecom. Next X-Blue...another Tecom product. Larry's been in our shop a couple of times and is as Ed says a great guy. I just wonder if his 401K is in Yuan.
