Ok I thought this was an easy deal and I'm sure it is but I'm missing something apparently.

I am trying to do this in the office just to test before I make a drive out to the customer. I have exec override enabled on my phone and all other extensions have override block disabled. I also have the warning tone disabled. I am having trouble getting the button (625) programmed. Doing this thru flash programming I get error tone every time. I have made the button open again and again yet I get the same error tone. Is there a setting I am missing that won't allow this to be programmed until the setting is changed. Or is it just the third monday of the week?

Well I already have privacy turned off on the CO lines, since my wife doesn't seem to know how a hold button works. I tried to do this on my home system with the same results you're having. I'm sure someone can answer your question, I've ran into several things where a step was not in the manual, yet someone always found the answer. Good luck.

Did you check to see if Supervisor Barge-in (flash 50, page A, button 12) is disabled for the executive station? Both EOR and SOR can't be enabled for the same extension.

Can you program the EOR button directly at the station? When using flash programming for this, I assume that you are entering BB + 4 + 625, correct?

Ed I checked just to make sure and EOR is enabled and SOR is disabled.

If I try to program the button directly to the phone I get nothing, no confirmation nor error tone. Trying the button programming in flash gives me an error tone and yes I was entering 29+4+625.

I also looked in WinDBA and didn't see any other steps for this. I didn't mess with it any further cause I was sure you'd have an answer by now. I didn't put the privacy back on my CO lines, I figured if that was the cause for me yours would be working.

I'm trying to get things together for a job tomorrow in Rosebud so I'm having a hard time concentrating on this. And I'm watching the weather to see if I want to pack some clothes.

Well with the weather forcast I'd say pack. Well the manual states "If Supervisor Monitor with barge-in function is allowed, this feature (Executive override) must be disabled. It further states Supervisor Barge-in can be progranned in flash 50, page A, btn 12...button 12 does nothing. Looking at the flash codes there is no btn 12 for page A. I find nothing in the idex for monitor or supervisor barge in. Soooo maybe part of the problem? I love these manuals.

Do you have privacy disabled for co lines and station? Just in case that's what is meant by supervisor barge-in monitor.

Try clearing button 29 first. Sometimes the buttons wont program if they allready have something programmed. 29 is Dnd so it might not be taking. I have had the same problems but once cleared it all was good but Im pretty sure you guys are doing it right.

I've cleared the button over and over but I have never done a system reset which if all else fails that could just make the button clear, even though it shows open.

Oh and Bill I had rain all three hours down like a cow pissin on a flat rock, and snow with slush covered roads for the four hours back. I drove safe with the thousands of dollars of equipment I had the other tech bring me from pierre.

:thumb: Glad you made it back safe. Still calling for the bad stuff mostly towards your area.

I played some more with the override and got nowhere. There has to be something simple that's being missed.

I made it back just fine however I was stuck home for most of the day as was just about everyone else in the hills all of friday. Friday afternoon it was like shoveling water that stuff was so heavy but lots of moisture, now sat evening and being in the 50's all day there will be some places with flooding. I had two feet from my garage door to the street. I shoveled the side for my wifes car then I was tired it only took three hours. I'll drive over the crap on my side.
