Hello all,

I just acquired 2 ea.3534-00 Vodavi Flash Voice Mail Boards. One was new in the box and the other was not.

What I noticed was that even though the boards are pretty much identical one has a Dallas DS1687-3 Real-Time Clock chip that is mounted on the board. It is a 24 pin device that is soldered into the UI4 position on the board.

The other board is empty in this position. I have looked at others on eBay that have pictures of the board and 90% are without this
Dallas Time Clock chip.

My question is why would one board have the chip and one does not??
Or what is the difference between the two boards as for functionality??

Does anyone here know these boards or is this something of minimal importance and as long as it works it is not an issue?? [z]

Thanks in advance.

Les

Hey Les,
I know that there were 2 versions of the flash vm. The early version didn't have a time out option or cell phone notification, but the later one's did. That's the only difference I can recall between the two.

Hi adteldon,

Thanks for the response.
The interesting thing is that the board with the Dallas chip is dated 2003 and the the one without is dated 2004.

I am guessing that the option you mentioned has nothing to do with this Dallas chip.

Thanks again.

Have a Happy New Year.

Les
