Can someone help with a Cortelco Aires Digitla Key Telephone System (ADKS) 308?
I am a newbie helping a friend setup a ADKS 308 for a small office . There will be 3 executive model phones connected to the system.
I have the programming guide (Sept. 1997).
The ADKS 308 will be connected to two voice business lines (multi-line service).

Can the ADKS 308 be programmed to work with the voice features on the business lines: call waiting, caller ID, call forwarding (to external phone/cell phone)?
The programming guide indicated that a flash (hookswitch flash on the phone) will drop the current call and connect to a CO trunk (business line). Does this mean that the ADKS 308 cannot work with features that require flash (call waiting, 3-way calling ...)?

Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know much about Cortelco, as they are very rare systems....but, if you can change the timing of the flash signal the system sends to your service provider, you will be able to use 3-way and call waiting. I have never seen a system that is incapable of having its flash timing changed, so you're probably in luck. On such a smaller, earlier system, I doubt you will be able to use caller ID, but like I said, I don't know Cortelco, so I may be wrong. As far as call forwarding....you will be able to use call forwarding provided by the phone company, but I don't know if the system itself is capable of this. External call forwarding on small systems seems to be more of a Nortel thing, though your Cortelco system may provide internal call forwarding. ......I'm afraid I won't be of much more help, as I've never even physically seen a Cortelco system
