I'm not even sure of the spelling of this system. Some computer type is trying to push this apparantly VoIP system off as a full telephone system but doesn't know how to get analog devices to work on it. This is real competion or not?

Any information would be appreciated. Or is it even a phone system?

Could you be talking about Asterisk? It is an open-source voip PBX built on a Linux platform.

I didn't know anyone would actually sell them.

You can easily connect an analog device using a voip ata such as Cisco 186, or Sipura 2000.

I've been playing around with one but would never consider selling one.

Sounds right for this guy. He's lost at least two computer businesses and sold his old Lucent system to a guy and made a lot of promises. When it didn't happen he tried to get the guy to take one of these but he still can't get the fax to work on the old one.

My only question is, if you had hemroids would you go to a dentist?
If you need a computer, go to the computer guy.
If you you need a telephone system, why go to the computer guy?

Thanx for your reply.
