I worked on one of these https://www.talkswitch.com/us/en/Products/ today. The customer bought it himself and called and asked if we would install it for him. I mounted it on the wall, connected the phones and lines, plugged it into the LAN. He then connected to it with his computer and off he went. Literally that was it. Pretty slick and from the little I saw of the programming, there were many valuable features. I was on site for two hours and then I left thinking. This is a dyeing industry. If a customer can buy it and program it himself who needs me. If he had the tools he probably wouldn't have called.

Anyone else work on this product before?

Probably should have searched the forum first. Sorry for the annoyance. Everything I read is sort of what I thought but I wasn't sure. I'll be interested to see if he still likes it in a month.

Thank you for your post.No need to apologize. The search feature certainly reveals a wealth of information, doesn't it? I find it invaluable when dealing with something that I am not very familiar with and also a good way to get 2nd opinions and new ways of looking at things. I've been in the industry 30 years and I still keep finding new things here - and lots of things that I've forgotten!

6string: I have Installed 4 of these talkswitch's, and Your right they are very easy to install, program and Maintain. We're not in a Dying industry, The Talkswitch is for the Mom and Pop Shops. The Talkswitch could never replace the Larger Systems when Your talking about 20 or More Phones. The Oldest Talkswitch I Service is about 3 Years old and Haven't had any Problem's. As time goes on who can Tell. We Sell them because the Small Shop will Grow One Day and they will look to you for Moving them into a Larger System. All and All, the Talkswitch is a Good (foot in the door). The Customer will see that You are looking out for his Bottom Line(Hopfuly)

Rickman, glad to see you are having good luck with them. As we say around here, "the installer is more important than the product". Every one of the Talkswitchs that I've come into contact with have been problem children....and so have been the installers.

'Nuff said..... eek laugh
