Hello all, thanks much for your answer on MWI indicator. Worked like a charm!

I do have another VM-related question:

I can't seem to figure out how to get a line key to function as a properly-set up speed-dialer for accessing voicemail. I tried using "Feature" + "Redial" + "1" + VM Extension #, (on each station) which works, but that takes the user to the main greeting, not to their mailbox.

I'd like to have them be able to press a single line key and have it take them directly to the "Please enter your password" prompt for their personal mailbox.

I tried setting this up using the VM Digit Add memory block and the Quick Transfer to VM extension, but it seems the system prefixes the Digit Add digit at the wrong time, like while transferring an outside call to someone's voicemail box.

How do I set up the Electra Elite to A) properly send an internal user directly to their password prompt for their voicemail box with a single keypress (if possible)

and

B) still allow outside callers to be directly transferred to the appropriate person's VM greeting (mailbox)

Thanks for your help!
as long as the vm is set up correctly AND that person has a mailbox that has the same ext it should prompt for the password if they 1)dial the vm pilot ext or 2)press the vm 1 touch key.

to be transferred to the person's box you 1)either do the forward b/na code (default 43+vm pilot ext)) or 2)transfer to that person's ext then press 7 (to go right into their vm box...no waiting)
DUH!!!!!!!!!

forgot you have a 3rd party vm not nec's vm.

have you checked 4-35? not that it would really matter.

what the process for logging into the vm?

1)dial the pilot

2)then press # or something to let it know that you're a user

3)then dial your ext

4)dial password
-----------------------------
if that's the case, (and i haven't tried this to see if it really works or not)

do a:
feature
redial
button
1
vm pilot
#
ext
password
feature

or whatever the sequence would be to log into the vm. the system might dump the digits out too fast but it's worth a try.
just curious if that worked
