I recentley moved an nec 192 system and all the phones ring except for one new ext., the lights do flash but no audible ring?
ringing is in program 4-01 (day) & 4-02 (night)

you have to know what PORT that phone is on in order to do any programming tho.

if the phone has a display hit feature 4. display will show the port & the ext.

let me know if you need to know how to do the programming

I just got the manual today and bought a used system to practice on, im hoping to learn the system and start installing them, my backround is Lucent/Avaya some NEC.I will be programming that ext. this week thanks for the response. I would like to know the programming steps and its ext.125 i will look up the port# thankyou
I will send a response if it works.
if the system is straight it should be port 26.
------------------------------------

get into programming:
on port 1 or 2 (usually 100 & 101)
feature hold # 0 *

display will show program mode

----------------------------------

hit the 4th clear button across
display should show 01/01 dy rng or something like that

use the conference to advance the port to the port you need (26?)

display should show 26/01 dy rng

------------------------------------

now just light the buttons you need to ring. green will ring right away, red is delay ring, off is no ring. 1st clear button is co1, 2nd is co2, and so on.

-----------------------------------

transfer to write

-----------------------------------

display should now say 26/02 nt rng (night mode ringing)

do the same if you need the phone to ring in the night mode

--------------------------------------

when you're done hit speaker to get out & test
just checking on ya............did you get it to work??
