Is there a 16 port pri card for this system and if so - what channel is the d channel have to come from the carrier

you can only assign 16 channels instead of 24 like a t1. i'm thinking that the d channel still has to be on channel 24 tho

I think there's only one PRT(1) card that's available for the NEC IPK/Elite. The number of channels that you can "turn on" is dependent on the software version that you have. I think R8000 software series allow you to assign channels individually - always starting at the bottom - and can be increments of 1.

On older software revisions, I think you can only turn them on based on groups of 4/8/12/16/23.

Eitherway, your D-channel will always be 24, and I don't think you can change that anyways.

Maybe some of the NEC guru's can check into this a bit more. The above is from our experience here.

correct about the prt card. only 1. you just turn on the channels you need.
