We have 8 NEC 2000IVS/IVS2/IPS series phone systems all T1'd together and running fine through CCIS for 7 years now. CBLD/NEC both installed, NEC now troubleshoots on emergencies only.

I've figured out on my own how to get SMDR for all 8 systems to connect to AIMWorX at our main site. However, I have a couple questions on 3 of those sites that first have to connect to 2 of those 8 first before going to our main site.

I'm looking for someone who might be able answer a couple questions for a guy whose learning as he goes... me!

I have, ready to email, most important SMDR settings for all sites on one Excel sheet side by side. I also have a .gif diagram of all sites showing how they connect to each other. And a word document with 6 short questions. Anyone willing to at least take a look... please?

Thanks Guys

Rob

Ok thanks Rod, here goes hope you can help:

Ok here is the setup of our sites:
• Site 1= 2000IPS (Main site)
• Site 2= 2000IVS T1 to Site 1
• Site 3= 2000IVS T1 to Site 1
• Site 4= 2000IVS2 T1 to Site 1
• Site 5= 2000IVS T1 to Site 1
• Site 6= 2000IVS T1 to Site 5
• Site 7= 2000IVS T1 to Site 3
• Site 8= 2000IVS2 T1 to Site 5

SMDR troubles I still can’t figure out:

• When site 5 (2500) calls either site 6 (2800) or site 8 (4500) I see the call, however, when either of those two sites call site 5 back I do not see the call.

• When site 3 (2300) calls site 7 (4100/4300) I see the call, however, when site 7 calls site 3 back I do not see the call.

• When any site other than Site 3 (2300) calls Site 7 (4100/4300) the same call will appear on two separate identical lines.

• When any site other than Site 5 (2500) calls either site 6 (2800) or site 8 (4500) the call will appear on two separate identical lines.

• On sites 6 (2800), 7 (4100/4300), and 8 (4500) I do not see any outside 10 digit calls i.e. (540) 555-1234.

• Site 4 (2400) I don’t see anything.

Okay this will look weird but here we go,
Site 5 has three CCIS links meaning that they have three CCH's Common Channel Handler's. 0-7
A703>X>0
A704>X>ZZZZZ X is for the CCH pointing back to Site 1 and ZZZZZ is for the Point code of site 1.
A703>X>1
A704>X>ZZZZZ X is for the CCH pointing to site 6 and ZZZZZ is for the Point code of site 1.
A703>X>1
A704>X>ZZZZZ X is for the CCH pointing to site 8 and ZZZZZ is for the point code of site 1.
Site 6 and 8 Have one CCIS link pointing back to site 5 here is how it should look.
A703>0>0
A704>0>ZZZZZ ZZZZZ is the point code of Site 1.
Site 3 has two CCIS links
A703>X>0
A704>X>ZZZZZ X is for the CCH pointing to site 1 and ZZZZZ is for the point code of site 1.
A703>X>1
A704>X>ZZZZZ X is for the CCH pointing back to site 7 and ZZZZZ is for the point code of site 1
Site 7 has one CCH it should look like this.
A703>0>0
A704>0>ZZZZZ ZZZZZ is for the point code of site 1

Try this and let me know,

Thanks Rod,

All that is correct except for CMA703 at site 5.

Here is the way it is set:
CMA703>0>0
CMA703>1>3
CMA703>2>3

I tried a while back setting CCH's 2 & 3 to a number 1 instead of a 3 and I lost communication to both sites. Therefore I put them both back to a setting of 3 (Not To Be Provided).

Everything else is already set the way that you suggested Rod. Let me see if I could dissect this Excel sheet to show you better how everything is setup. Hope this site has lots of room! hehe

couple of things,

In site 1 D016 should match what you have in say site 3.

Also in sites 3 and 5 the the CCH's pointing to the remote should be a 1.

Finally a point I missed earlier What do you have for all site in cm A8>Pointcode>

Let me also know what CCH points to where per switch.

Good Morning,

*The revisions (IVS, IVS2, IPS) are listed in the original post above.

*I've actually changed CMA703 on site 5 before from:

CMA703>0>0
CMA703>1>3
CMA703>2>3

To:

CMA703>0>0
CMA703>1>1
CMA703>2>1

However, when I made the change site 5 became an Island and couldn't connect to attached sites 1, 6, & 8.

* Site 1
CMA8>0>00002
CMA8>1>00003
CMA8>2>00004
CMA8>3>00005

Site 2
CMA8>0>00001

Site 3
CMA8>0>00001
CMA8>1>00007

Site 4
CMA8>0>00001

Site 5
CMA8>0>00001
CMA8>1>00006
CMA8>2>00008

Site 6
CMA8>0>00005

Site 7
CMA8>0>00003

Site 8
CMA8>0>00005

*As far as CMD016 being the same as sites 3 & 5, I'm a little leery making changes being that Site 1 is the Center Office, is this wrong?

Thanks for your help so far I hope this information is useful.

A8 is not correct I need the layout of CCH# points to site #. What is needed is that all point codes are defined in each switch. in command A8.

"However, when I made the change site 5 became an Island and couldn't connect to attached sites 1, 6, & 8."
Do you mean no calls or no records. If no calls I ve seen this before and what fixed that was a reset at the main.

With D016 set in sites 3&5 that way they are requesting call records that the main is not.

Oops sorry I typed them in backwards:

*Site 1
CMA8>00002>0
CMA8>00003>1
CMA8>00004>2
CMA8>00005>3

Site 2
CMA8>00001>0

Site 3
CMA8>00001>0
CMA8>00007>1

Site 4
CMA8>00001>0

Site 5
CMA8>00001>0
CMA8>00006>1
CMA8>00008>2

Site 6
CMA8>00005>0

Site 7
CMA8>00003>0

Site 8
CMA8>00005>0

*"However, when I made the change site 5 became an Island and couldn't connect to attached sites 1, 6, & 8."
Do you mean no calls or no records. If no calls I ve seen this before and what fixed that was a reset at the main.

When I changes the two 3's to 1's I could not pick up my phone (Site 5) and direct 4 digit dial any other building.

*That makes sense about CMD016, what changes to which sites would you recommend I try? (The CMD016 command settings for all sites involved are listed in previous messages)

*Ok I adjusted every switch to the exact CMA8 settings you provided.

*Next I made our Main Site (Site 1) similar to the other Sites for the CMD016 settings. I changed 0021, 0030, 0031, 0032, and 0058 all from a 0 to a 1.

*I also changed on Site 5 CMA703>1 &2 from a 3 to a 1. As soon as I made the change and dialed Sites 1, 6, and 8, I get restricted in the display and I have to grab an outside line and place a local call to talk to those sites. Went in through cat mode and reset both back to a 3, had to do a hard reset though to accept the changes and reconnect.

*Still have the same issues as mentioned in the first post… but I think the first two changes you suggested were good moves.

Any other suggestions, thanks for these suggestions so far!

PS. When I changed the CMA703 settings on Site 5 I changed the 3 to a 1 for Site 8 first and I seemed ok. Once I changed the CMA703 for Site 6 that's when I lost connection to Sites 1, 6, and 8.
Posted By: mextera Re: Anyone Good With 2000IVS SMDR? - 04/01/05 03:12 PM
Sorry It took so long to reply,

Did you try a reset when you made the changes to site 5. Or did you just set them back to a 3 and reset?

If you can I would leave A703>2>1 this should allow you to get records for site 8

Sites 5,6 & 7 may have a HW problem chips on the AP00 card what are they?

and CX.X

As soon as I change the 3 to a 1 for site 8 (IVS2) I lose site 6 (IVS), Site 8 will still work though. Here at Site 5 the three SC cards are as follows:

SC00 CCH-C SC2551 CD 1.03
SC00 CCH-C (AP) SC2551 CD 1A
SC00 CCH-C (AP) SC2551 CD 1A

Site 8 (IVS2) SC card is as follows:

SC-2751 A1 - 0006.00
