does the dsx40 have a built in RAD (recorded announcement devie)?

For what purpose? There is a built in Auto Attendant only unless voicemail is also purchased.

thanks for the reply. it does offer an annoucement only. the customer just wanted a greeting that told the caller they were closed. i found it in the docs after a couple of hours.
