I have an Aspire system that the customer wants to have ring a certain way during day mode operation, but I haven't quite figured out if, or how to do it. Looking for any suggestions.

What they want is for an incoming trunk call to start ringing at a couple of phones, if unanswered after a few seconds start ringing additional phones, if still unanswered start ringing a few more phones, then finally if unanswered go to voice mail.

I currently have it set up to do that except for ultimately going to voice mail. I have ring group one ringing immediately, ring group two as the second ring group for unanswered trunks, and the third group of phones is set up as call coverage keys on an extension of the second group with delayed ringing. Works great - but I can't figure out how to get it to go to voice mail after that.

Sound confusing? It seems so to me, and I think I have probably over complicated the whole issue. But, my head hurts from all this thinking, so I need help!

You are attacking this is the wrong way for the Aspire. You should be using virtual extentions, because as you have seen you cannot have more than a couple ringdowns and no way to get it to vmail on a trunk call. You dil to a virtual extension, creat call coverage keys on buttons (these can be unsed or phantom) then you can cfna to another virtual if need be as well as the ability to use delay ring then eventually cfna to vmail. If you want to pick up the extension without pressing a key you need to look in COS and alter that setting as well.

Sounds like a good idea! I can try setting it up here on my demo system in the shop to make sure I get it right, but I see your point!

Thanks for the quick reply. This is my second Aspire installation, and I know I have a lot to learn.
