We have this phone here in the office. An old employee set the phone up so that it would ring when someone dials their extension instead of just being an intercom. All of the other phones in the office are set up so you can just dial the extension and start speaking. Can anyone tell me how to fix this phone so it doesn't ring when called from another extension?
are you direct dialing the extension (intercom xxx ext number )or reaching it through a programmed button ?
we are direct dialing. We just dial the 3 digit extension, we don't even have to hit an intercom button. When I call someone else, I just pickup the handset and dial the 3 digit extension and I am automatically on their phone.

To enable Handsfree Answerback for your incoming Intercom calls:
1. Press idle CALL key.
2. Dial 821.
3. Press SPK to hang up.
This disables Forced Intercom Ringing
or this
To change the way your Intercom call signals the extension you are calling:
1. Dial 1 or 812.
If ringing, your call voice-announces. If voice-announced, your call starts to ring the destination.
This option is also available at single line telephones
