Hello i'm trying to make muliple phones ring when you push 0 for the operator through the Auto Attendant. I have set-up everything in the system to work properly but I don't see how to make a ring group.

I want to set the dial action table for day mode to ring all phones when they push Zero.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or just say the programing numbers.

And on another subject can I make the answer Machine Elelator not make the DSS/Blf light stay on. But this question is not that important..

Make a call coverage key for ext 301 on everyones phone.

I couldn't find anything on call coverage key's. I was ale to make a virtual EXT (799) but I can't find where to assign ringing. Right now the DSS/BLF light just lights up when I route the call in dail Action tables to that Virtual EXT (799)
I want to make the EXT's ring that have that 799 Virtual Ext assinged to it. Is this possiable or am I doing it wrong.

15-09 you pick the extension number, and key number the Virtual Extension resides on and tell it to ring and what modes to ring during

went to 15-07 made key 12 *03 Virtual EXT Key and in addictional options put 799. Went to 15-09 made EXT 301 and 302 funtion key 12 check mode 1-8. still only got the DSS key to flash when I dial 799 from another EXT. I sure I missing just one other thing but can't find it.

Is 799 a valid virtual extension number in your dial plan? That seems a little odd for this system.

In my Dail Action Table I put 799 for Zero. I"m new to this system and will be going to train in the 1st week of November. But I've sold two of these system already. I'm just doing basic set-up for the two customers until I can certified from the manufacture.

I would think it's a vaild EXT number because when I dial the 799 from anyphone the Function key lights up as if it ring. But I get no ringing. If i dial the main numbe and hit Zero I get the same thing.

Even if you want to tell me a better way to make all phones ring when they dail zero I 'm open for all options.

I would try department group programming. Setup a pilot number and add what extensions you want to ring, assign the pilot number to your dial 0

What are you trying to accomplish? Zero internally OR out of an auto attendant? Zero destination I THINK has to be a valid ext. If you are coming out of an auto attendant set you dial action table to the virtual extension and create virtual ext keys on the phones and THEN assign the ringing.

I would also consider a different number for this as well..like 300 or 400.

I want !st say I apperciatate all you input and advise. I have installed the system and everything went well. I couldn't get the virtual Extension to work. I talked with NEC tech support and they said I was programed correctly (thanks to you guys). I was told I might have to upgrade the software because I'm 01.01 and the latest is 01.10.

Is this true? and all I have to do is copy it to any USB flash drive?

Put firmware on a flash drive and boot it up with it plugged into the USB port. Following the directions on the NEC site will default the system.
