I have a cust that wants to have the option to leave a message in the subscriber mailbox as per usual, and be able to transfer to a cell phone number if the caller chooses to do so. I have done transfers from a routing mailbox to a cell phone number using a virtual with call forward immediate to the cell number, but have not done a transfer to cell phone number from a subscriber mailbox. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you. System=ipk2 voicemail=inmail
There are no mailbox options to transfer any call to a cell phone. It will (I'm sure you already know this)notify the user of new message or messages. If the user has their own phone they can call forward all calls to their cell phone, if not using a virtual like you explain is the only way.
The in-mail on the ipk2 is a glorified answering machine. Don't expect it to do much of anything except take messages and light lights on phones.
It's been a while since I played with the InMail on the IPK2, however, that voicemail is the first-cousin of the DSX IntraMail.

If I recall, there is an option within the mailbox programming (each box) where you can set "dialing option" to "yes", then assign a "routing box". You should be able to assign a unique routing box and a unique "Dial Table". In the dial table make "Time-Out" do a transfer to a speeddial bin that has the cell phone number programmed in it. You will also want to shorten the timers in that routing box to quicken the "time-out" transfer.
