I have an NEC UX5000 - four sites on Cygnilink. Am using ARS to route users automatically to the correct local trunk group depending on digits dialed. Works well!

One site, has Centrex trunks as the local trunks. Can't change it - they are on a contract.

I want to figure out how to automatically add a 9 at the beginning of the outbound number for Centrex trunk access. I don't want the users to need to add that themselves.

Looks like I could use an ARS dial treatment on that trunk group, but I can't make sense of how the code should be written to insert a 9 at the beginning of the outbound dialing.

Anyone who has a suggestion, please let me know. Also, in this case does it matter if I identify those trunks as "Behind PBX" in the programming? I have it that way now, but I don't really see what it does for me.

Thanks!!!!!

From an old Aspire Tech-Tip(I assume it will work for UX5000):

􀁺 14-01-20 : Basic Trunk Data Setup - Block Outgoing Caller ID
Enter "1" for the trunks being used.
􀁺 14-01-21 : Basic Trunk Data Setup - Caller ID Block Code
Change this code from "*67" to "9".
􀁺 14-02-10 : Analog Trunk Data Setup - Caller ID
Enter "1" to enable Caller ID for all trunks used.
􀁺 20-08-15 :Class of Service Options (Outgoing Call Service) - Block Outgoing Caller ID
For each extension's class of service, enter "1" to block Caller ID (will then send the Caller ID Block
Code entered in 14-01-21).

Wow - that is pretty clever! I am going to give that a try.

Thanks so much for the tip - I will post back with results.
