I have a customer with an Elite IPX 5 years old. It has 5 phones and 2 lines, no voice mail. Maybe alittle overkill here.
All phones have a dead display and the ports have a fast clicking sound.
The analog ports have battery, but no dial tone. They had never been used.
Any help on the outage?.....Will the phones work with older NEC systems? He wants me to swap it out if it is too expensive. Looks like a fine system, maybe more than he needs.
Are you sure its a Elite? IPX?
IPX = 2400
Sounds like a time division highway issue.

Yes....I believe it was on the cabinet. I am alittle familiar with the Electra, but this one use one pair per port.
It has a CPU U10(maybe 100) ETU 241c
When I poke that card in the eye, it just blinks once above the red light then goes back to solid red.
All cards have power lights. The analog has clear battery only.

The phones are DTH 8D 1DK
Look on the side of the Cabinet, what is the Model No.?
It reads:Electra Elite IPX B64-u20 KSU
Never heard of a Electra Elite IPX, It has to a IPK.
Sorry...customer misread. IPK is correct.
Ok cool, Look under the Phone what type of phones do you have connected?
Was this system working before displays died? What type of cards are in the switch and what slots?
He says he came in the AM to find all displays dead.
From left
Maybe a power supply card-it has a DC looking connector.
CPU1 u10 ETU 241c
S1 ST4 U1 ETU 142c
S2 Estb8 ETU 141c
S3 Coi 410 ETU 1438B
Sounds like a CPU lockup.
You may have to pull the battery and reset, which will mean the entire system will need a re-program.
Let us know what happens.

You are correct....I am at the lost program point now. It was suggested to do it again to pick up the lines and have all the cards in place. I had brought it up with just the 2 cards in place and the lines didn't come up. So I will try that tommorrow....Thanks...I'll let you know.
bring the power on with the battery strap pulled and all the cards in place.
The system will auto assign the cards and phones, but you'll have quite a bit to do to get it to work properly.
If you're an end user, unless you can afford the downtime and hassle, I would highly suggest a visit from a certified tech. A good tech could get you going in a couple of hours.

Did the reset again and all the lines came back.....Now All need is to set the time and program a few buttons.....You couldn't get more default than this.....3 phones 2 lines...and they all need to ring....Thanks for all the help.....I'll be looking this up......or starting a new thread...LOL
