Hello, I am trying to configure a hunt group on an NEC IPK phone system with Elitemail LX voicemail. What I would like to have is to dial a hunt group extension, and then ring first on station 1, then on busy/no answer go to station 2, then to 3, then terminate at voicemail somewhere if still no answer. I have tried this with SIE forwarding. With this, it will ring the second phone on the list when the first phone does not pick up, but will never go to the third. I have also thought about using intercom master hunting, but i need it to go to voicemail if the users' extension is dialed directly. Do I need an MIFA card and ACD/UCD to achieve this? I see that can do something similar, but i want to go in the same order every time, not ring the longest idle phone. Please help me figure out how i need to program this. Thank you in advance!
The Elite Will Forward Only Once, This is The same For SIE's, If You want Incoming Hunting From Auto Attenant, You Will Need ACD.
Thank you for your quick reply. I appreciate your help. If i configure ACD will that allow the linear hunting that is desired? Do i need the MIFA card to enable this?
Instead of Spending the Money for a ACD Card, KMA chip, and a MIFA card with MIS, Would you get by with DID to Station One Via a Car Key and Delay to Stations 2,3,4. then Call Forward busy No Ans. to Vm. Stations 2,3,4 will ring all at the same time. But it will save the Customer Money.
thank you again for your response. i had no idea that all that additional hardware would be needed to enable the hunting as desired. i will ask the customer if your solution will work for them and get back to you after i hear from them. will your proposed (and in my opinion superior) solution work forwarding from the auto attendant? Thank you so much for all your help with this!
I'm Not sure what you Mean by Forwarding from Auto Attendant.
