hi i have a NEC Branded - dxna door phone. it has three terminals on the back and it works when i connect it to terminals "-" and "I", but the led on the front doesnt light. im connecting it to a XEN master/Axis system that was sold in australia/New Zealand, the card installed in the system is a DPH(4)-U()ETU, does anyone have any clues
Seems like nobody uses this doorbox or something????
also the system was called an Electra Elite (I Think)
I believe the actual door box is popular, and is rebranded for use by many manufacturers, using the same or nearly the same guts. I have one called a "doorbell fon" The LED may not be used my NEC but may be used for other manufacturers applications.
If this is an ELITE 192/48 system, I have some programming notes.
The light should light after the button is pressed and is ringing the phones.

Here's all I have:
programs:
7-1 assign DPH card
1-7-00 assign doorphone to port
4-03 & 4-04 assign doorphone ringing day/night to digital ext's
Doorphone ring to analog devices is NOT supported (including analog adpaters)
1-7-04 doorphone ring type
DPH (4 ) u10 supports 4 devices
Doorphones 1 & 3 share a speechpath as do 2 & 4
Good Luck
It's actually easy to setup, and the DP's cross connect on every other pair
